Races and Cultures

The Saurians (or Snakes)

An old, magical race of humanoid reptiles, still struggling to come to terms with the empire they lost.

Human Cultures

The most prolific of the races, Humanity lives throughout the world and has fragmented into many different cultures.

Khazim – A generic term for many nomadic Arabic people associated with the trading caravans from the Grand Bazaar.

The Gaels – A proud Celtic people from the northern lands, who refuse to abandon their commitment to Danu.

The Tezcatax – A distant Aztec people who still hold to the old ways of sacrifice, and revere their former masters.

The Urdaal – Nomadic people, like the medieval tribes of the Siberian Steppe, they have migrated into the hinterlands of the northern city-states.

The City States – A mixture of the Medieval & the Renaissance, these states are linked together by one common purpose; commerce:

Roma – A huge, old city of gold and decadence, it’s trade with the Tezcatax has made Roma very wealthy.
Mytil
– The Papal Seat of the Celestial Church. The strength of Mytil steel is surpassed only by the strength of their Faith.
Fytraval – A land where craftsmanship is still valued over mere gold, and they still have faith in the Smith’s art.
Vetiver – The “bread-basket” of the city-states. A land made up of farmers and landowners.
Tirnalis – Having the strongest contact with the Gaels, the people of Trinalis are unique in the city-states, in that they know one end of a sword from another.
Jahan – A cosmopolitan city of caravans and merchant ships, it’s contact with the Grand Bazaar has brought many strange ideas.

The Ferals

Innuit ‘beast-men’ from the icy wastes in the North, known for their ferocity and strange beliefs

The Hive

Insectoid creatures from below, who are trying to cope with the realisation that they are not alone.
